Video: Useful properties of a three-color violet

Violet is very useful for our skin, has anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory properties. It is spring, flowering time. I am allergic to pollen. And it also normalizes the work of sebaceous glands. Very good for those who have oily skin, just my case. I recommend using violet for washing the face of those with oily, allergy-prone skin.

I want to introduce you to the tricolor violet. I remembered about her when I had a cold and could not cough up for a long time. Saw as tea 2 times a day for about a week, and continue to drink from time to time. The taste is absolutely neutral, the decoction is clear, yellow-brown. It helped very quickly. I continue to drink, because it cleans the skin well. Pimples have disappeared almost completely and it is unclear for what reasons. I heard once a long time that a violet perfectly cleans the blood, the disappearance of pustules may be the very result of blood purification. In reasonable quantities does not hurt anyone, but remember that this is not a panacea, and not to overdo it.

Usually from a tricolor violet I make an infusion. I buy in a pharmacy dried flowers with leaves. In a cup in 200 ml I put a tablespoon of herbs and pour boiling water over it. Close and insist 30 minutes. I drink 3 times a day. The course is 7–10 days. Cough and sore throat passes. Violet has expectorant, diaphoretic, laxative, anti-inflammatory properties. Often used in the treatment of many skin diseases - eczema, boils, wounds, dermatitis.

As part of a violet tricolor many glycosides, so tea becomes a little sweet. I love tea from violet flowers and cherries. Tasty, beautiful and useful: the composition of the flowers contains insulin, which is useful for diabetes. Part of the flowers dry and brew in the winter. As part of the violet tricolor there are saponins that do an excellent job with a dry cough. Children enjoy drinking such a beautiful tea.

I heard that violets relieve nervous tension, relieve headaches, have a calming effect. So this is an excellent tool to combat fatigue and stress.

Most often, violet is used for coughing and as an expectorant. Usually take violet tricolor. But I don’t know whether it is possible to use varieties grown at home on the windowsill.

Violet is used in landscape design, grown to decorate window sills, used for medicinal purposes. Recipes of infusions, ointments, syrups are known in homeopathy, traditional medicine and cosmetology since ancient times. They are popular today. There are new ways to use drugs from violets, which, with the right dosage and in combination with drug therapy, are beneficial, and the ability to grow a medicinal plant on a windowsill makes the flower more beautiful.

How does it look

The tricolor violet is a single or biennial herb. The stem is erect or branched, 5 to 45 cm tall. The leaves are simple, the upper ones are elliptical, the lower ones are ovate.

The flowers are beautiful, the upper petals are mostly purple or blue, the lower ones are yellow and white. Flowering time is in April, the fruit ripens in June.

In June, an elongated three-headed top of the plant ripens, storing seeds in itself that contribute to the further propagation of the flower. The tricolor violet is much smaller than the usual garden counterpart and is always painted in three different colors.

Where grows

The plant is common in Eastern Europe, Siberia, the Far East, Scandinavia, Asia Minor. In the Atlas of Habitats and Resources of Medicinal Plants of the USSR, the tricolor violet is described as a European species, found in Siberia only as an alien plant.

The northern border of the distribution area passes to the cities of Kirovsk, Murmansk, Kandalaksha, the White Sea, Ponoy (Kola Peninsula), Mezen, Ukhta, Pechora, Vorkuta. Further, the border goes along the 60th meridian to Ekaterinburg, wedging in to the east at Tobolsk. Some localities are known in the vicinity of Tomsk, in the Kemerovo Region, Krasnoyarsk and Altai Territories, where the tricolor violet is found as a weed plant.

The southern border of the area passes through Chelyabinsk to Izhevsk, then through Samara, Saratov, Volgograd, slightly south of the Tsimlyansk reservoir, heads towards Rostov-on-Don, then follows through Donetsk to Zaporozhye and the Carpathians.

In the west, the border of the area goes beyond the borders of the former USSR state border. In the north-west comes to the Baltic Sea coast, on the southern coast of the Gulf of Finland reaches St. Petersburg, then goes north along the border with Finland to Murmansk.

In Crimea, only one locality of violets is known - in the valley of the Kachi River.

Occurs on fertile soils in meadows, among shrubs, along forest edges, on pastures and old fallow lands. Wild plants can be found in old parks, gardens, former estates, near roads.
