The variety and beauty of the recruiters in our gardens

A representative of the family of Primiformes, the colostrum that is widespread in the nature of the southern regions of Primorye, is a spectacular perennial with beautiful spike-like inflorescences and the hardly pronounced official name lysimachia, which, however, rarely recalls an ordinary gardener. This interesting plant is the hero of this publication, which will introduce the culture rare in garden decoration, its requirements, preferences and rules of cultivation.

Meet: Lily of the Valley

This is a plant with a strong light pink rhizome, very similar to the rhizome of lily of the valley, the signs of which are noted in the name. The high straight stalk of the Loosestrife is slightly pubescent, densely leafy and ends with a magnificent inflorescence-spike consisting of small white flowers and shaped like an elegantly drooping cone. The plant reaches a height of 0.9–1.2 m, and the length of the inflorescences often exceeds 18–20 cm. Such characteristics contributed to the breeding of the species to culture, which happened quite a long time, more than a century ago. The most famous variety is Ledi Jane, featuring strong upright shoots (0.6-0.9 m tall) and very long flowering (15-20 days), starting in the second half of July. The spectacular appearance of the plant, which is not typical for other types of lysimachia, makes it possible to use it in cutting compositions, and the ability to form stable compact islands, without spreading and not decaying, is widely used by landscape designers.

Lulvish verbeinis: planting and care

The wild-growing bill swords-tree that inhabits lowland meadows and river banks conveyed a love for high humidity and cultural species. Therefore, this factor must be considered when choosing a place for planting in the garden. The structure and fertility of the soil is not important to him, the main requirement concerns only ensuring sufficient moisture of the site and not finding it in bright sun. But still preferred are areas with a sliding passage of the sun, periodically illuminated and shaded, as well as with light heavy loamy soils.

Limeshire Loosebane easily tolerates stagnation of moisture, and even the close approach of groundwater will not cause him any harm.

Breeding features

Lulvish lash-square is easily propagated by seeds, rhizome division, cutting, and root suckers. Vegetative methods are most appropriate, because the plant takes root faster and blooms. In addition, to multiply the bush during transplantation is much easier than sowing the seeds, often using the seedling method, diving, growing and only then planting on a constant flower bed. Culture can grow in one place for 10 years or more, but it is necessary to transplant it from time to time. This will help avoid crushing inflorescences and provide a normal decorative effect. The flowering of a young plant transplanted by cutting, dividing or scioning the root is expected next year.

Seed propagation is rarely used. Sow seeds or seedlings ready for flower beds in June. Possible and sowing under the winter, which is carried out in September. The Looseland Loosestrife blooms for the 2-3rd year. Consider the features of each method of reproduction.

Division of rhizome

Carry out this operation in the spring, before the plant begins to grow and release the leaves, or in early autumn, when flowering is over. The plant is dug out, with a clean and sharp knife they divide the rhizome into parts, each of which should have 3-5 renewal buds. Sections are powdered with crushed charcoal or smeared with green paint. Planted plants on the prepared site, keeping the interval between them in 30-40 cm. Despite the unpretentiousness of the plant, it is better to fertilize the soil for planting with high-quality organic matter (humus), contributing 5-6 kg per 1 m 2.

Breeding root suckers

The ability of the rhizome in such a culture as the Loosestrife crumble, to spread at an enviable rate, makes it possible to cut off the offspring without prejudice to the mother plant. Pieces of rhizome are treated with "Kornevin" or any other biostimulant and planted, deepening at the same level as they were located, being offspring of the main root. It is better to reproduce the recruits in this way in spring. Autumn plantings are also possible, but they are carried out 3-4 weeks before the onset of sustained frosts. During this time period, the spine will have time to settle down and get stronger, in order to successfully endure the winter burden.

The main stages of planting care

Of all the types of lysimachia, the lily of the valley is the least expanding species. But it will still be necessary to control its cultivation, periodically stopping its possible “encroachments”, unless it is planned. A good way to decorate the garden space - growing the embryo in containers. It will allow mobile to change the entourage of the garden and save time on caring activities. However, for the winter container representatives should be arranged in a normal flower bed or a cool basement.

Do not forget about the plant's special love for abundant moisture. To dry up areas with plantings of the rookel should not: even short-term droughts can significantly undermine the beauty of the plant. Watering should be regular and generous, sprinkling is also encouraged. Under the winter, all the stems of the Lily of the Valley Loosestrife are cut to the ground, the site is mulched with humus, which will protect the plant from frost and feed it. Lisimahia does not need shelter for the winter, she is experiencing it quite well.

Weeding and loosening is carried out as needed, the colostrum is usually indifferent to dressing, but before flowering it is fed with a full complex fertilizer with microelements, which prolong the flowering period and increase the exotic beauty of the plant.

Such are the peculiarities of growing this unpretentious culture, known as the Lysheus Lullaine. Caring for it is also uncomplicated, but for all its simplicity, the plant gives the gardener the elegant, exquisite beauty of the inflorescences.

Lullah ordinary

Widely distributed in nature and most commonly found in our gardens. loosestrife(Lysimachia vulgaris). Forms a wide shrub, consisting of straight strong, slightly pubescent stems up to 1 m high.

Oval leaves are arranged oppositely in several pieces. It blooms from June to August, medium-sized bright yellow flowers located throughout the stalk. During flowering, the plant looks very impressive - the whole bush consists of elongated inflorescences of yellow color.

Loosestrife Flowers

This species loves slightly shady places and loose, well-moistened soil. And even grows well in the water at a shallow depth, so it is well suited for placement on a flooded area or for arranging a decorative swamp in the garden.

Monopod Swirler

Monopod Swirler(Lysimachia nummularia) completely different from the previous view. This is a typical groundcover. Its stems about 30 cm long rise above the ground not more than 5 cm. They spread along the soil, take roots and thus spread quickly.

The leaves of this species are bright green and round, also sitting opposite. In the middle of summer, small yellow flowers bloom on the shoots, making the camelling mat very elegant. Flowering lasts up to twenty days.

Very unpretentious and ornamental plant, quickly spreading, growing both in the shade and in the open sun place, can survive drought and flooding. There is a variety of 'Aurea' with golden-yellow leaves.

Jellied cultivator grade 'Aurea'

Swindler point

Well known to gardeners collar point(Lysimachia punctata). Perennial, forms dense dense bushes of vertically standing straight and durable stems, reaching a height of 80 cm and densely covered with oval-elongated leaves.

By the end of June, yellow flowers of a stellate-bell-shaped form with an orange center, which cover all the shoots, are revealed on the dot sacks. At this time the bush becomes very decorative. Flowering lasts more than a month.

Swindler point

It grows better in partial shade on moist soil. Under favorable conditions, it can quickly grow, and then it has to be limited, since it becomes aggressive and can force out neighboring plants.
Grade 'Alexander' has leaves with a white border, grade 'Golden Alexander' - yellow edging on the edge of the sheet.

Lulvium lashtevy

Much less common in our gardens loosestrider (Lysimachia clethroides). Its homeland is Northeast China, it grows in Russia in the south of Primorsky Krai.

The rhizomes of this plant do not grow as much as at. point. Forms straight strong, almost unbranched shoots, on which are simple rounded leaves with a pointed tip.

It blooms very beautifully: its small, star-shaped flowers of white color form a pyramidal drooping inflorescence 25-30 cm long. Flowering lasts from the end of July about 20 days.

Sun-loving plant, but tolerates partial shade, it needs a deep layer of well-treated nutrient soil. The only variety of this species, 'Lady Jane', is distinguished by its greater height and large inflorescences.

Lullaby dark purple

Lullaby dark purple (Lysimachia atropurpurea) - this plant is from 45 to 90 cm tall. Unusual among other types of spearfarm perennials with spike-shaped inflorescences of dark wine-red flowers, which create an amazing contrast to the silver-green leaves of the lanceolate form.

Camerashake is dark-purple, grade 'Beaujolais'. Photo from

It blooms from July to August. Excellent grade bred 'Beaujolais' ('Beaujolais') with dark-purple drooping inflorescences and a slight waviness along the edge of the leaf.

Geisty Recruit

Another pretty decorative look - loosestrife kisttsvetny(Lysimachia thyrsiflora). Has a different name kizlyak.

It grows up to 60 cm in height, the bush is formed by straight, durable shoots with narrow lanceolate leaves growing on them. Small yellow flowers, decorated with prominent stamens, form fluffy inflorescences. Flowering occurs at the end of May - the beginning of June.

Recruitr ciliated

Native to North America loosestrike ciliated(Lysimachia ciliata). In gardening, the variety 'Firecracker' with purple colored leaves is common.

The bush reaches a height of 70 cm. Its straight four-branch branching shoots carry large (up to 12 cm in length) leaves. For him, a well-lit area is preferable, since it is in the light that its leaves acquire a beautiful chocolate-purple color, which dims in a shady place.

Recruitr ciliated

Although its flowers are small and inconspicuous, but gathered in a loose inflorescence together with bright leaves, make the plant very spectacular, especially against the background of plants with green foliage. It grows well on moist nutrient soils, suitable for landscaping the coastal strip near water.

Growing austenitius in the garden

There are some rules for the successful breeding of atellor.

  • Almost all decorative camelines prefer a half-shaded place, bright light is only needed. purple. Monetchaty also grows well in the sun, but it grows more magnificent under the canopy of trees.
  • They are not particularly demanding on the soil, but they will develop better on rich organic matter, well-moisturized, loose soil. The layer of such soil can be quite shallow - only 15 cm, since their root system is superficial.
  • For morale workers, permanent humidification is very important, and some species will grow in water.
  • When planting camelines in the garden, it should be borne in mind that they grow quickly, they need constant monitoring so that they do not drown out other, less aggressive plants.
  • In the autumn, the aboveground part of the bushes is cut, sprinkled with humus. Shelter for the winter plants do not require.

In the next video, the famous Belarusian gardener and the owner of the nursery "Flower Street" Tatyana Asaevich talks about different types of the recruiter and shows them.

Recruiters in the garden

The camels will find different uses on the plot. Ordinary and pinpoint will look good in a mixborder, especially beautiful is the combination of their yellow inflorescences with blue flowers of bluebells and Veronica, as well as paniculate inflorescences of astilbe of different shades.

Lash of the bed

The carapace of the crayfish 'Firecracker' blends well with plants that have foliage bluish and gray shades: anafalis, fescue, hosts, chistets, wormwood. White c. Cellular suitable for a white garden in combination with other white and silver plants, also it will look beautiful next to bright flowers.

Monetchaty is good as a groundcover in a shady corner of a garden or near a reservoir - its creeping shoots will crawl beautifully over stones and bathe in water. Looks great in the honeymoon sack and pots, where it grows quickly and acts as an ampelous plant.

Recruiter's description

Plant is different creeping or erect stemswhich are covered with opposite or whorled, entire, alternate, simple leaves. At the beginning of summer, scrubby or spike-shaped panicles are formed on the bushes, on which pink, yellow or white flowers bloom. In some species, flowers can be solitary and form in the leaf axils. After the buds on the plant wither, the egg-shaped or spherical fruits ripen.

Loosestrife Loosestrife

The plant got its name for the pink-white rhizome of the lily of the valley. Leafy, pubescent, erect flower stems in height reach twenty centimeters. From the end of June for two weeks the Loosestrife blooms with snow-white small flowers, which are collected in a spike-shaped dense inflorescence. The most well-known varieties of plant species:

  • Geisha - a plant with variegated leaves, the edges of which have a cream color,
  • Lady Jane, a bush between sixty and ninety centimeters, is distinguished by late flowering, which begins at the end of summer.

Care features

Growing perennial in the open field does not pose any particular difficulties. If the plant is planted in moist soil, it will not even need to be watered during the season.

Top dressing is made only at the end of autumn, for which humus is used, which is mixed with soil around the bush.

Grass, planted in a flower bed, should be cut in and installed in the grooves sheets of metal, plastic or slate. Otherwise, the bushes will grow in breadth and crush a number of growing plants.

During the summer, wilted flowers are removed from the plants, which prolongs flowering. In autumn, shoots are cut off from bushes with erect stems.

In one place, the culture can grow for ten years. However, the plant grows so quickly that after two years requires a transplant, during which produce division of the bushes. Transplantation is recommended in spring or autumn after flowering.

The plant is well tolerated by cold winters, so for the winter shelters do not require

Seed propagation

Before sowing seeds for growing seedlings, they must be processed, for which the planting material is placed for one and a half to two months in the bottom drawer of the refrigerator. After that the seeds spread over the surface wet soil mix, which should consist of peat and sand. Crops are dusted with a small amount of sand, sprayed with water and covered with polyethylene or glass. Seed tanks are placed in a bright place with an air temperature of +15 degrees. Until the seedlings sprout, the soil should be moistened and ventilated if necessary.

In about two weeks, seedlings will appear, after which the shelter is removed. When they grow on two or three true leaves, bushes are seated in separate disposable cups or other containers. When caring for seedlings, it is necessary to monitor the soil moisture, as the recruiter prefers moist soil.

Two weeks before landing in open ground seedlings begin to harden. To do this, it is carried out in the garden or on the open balcony, exposing it to a half-shaded place.

On the flowerbed bushes are planted with a distance of fifty centimeters from each other. The plants grown from seeds will bloom only in the second or third year.

It is possible to sow seeds directly on a bed in an open ground in the fall. In this case, planting material will not need to be pre-processed, and friendly shoots will appear in the spring.

When the roots appear and grow on the cuttings, they are planted on a shady area in a moist, loose soil.

Dividing bush

In order to get several new bushes from one bush, the plant should be carefully dug out and children should be separated from it. Each delenka should have sprouts and well developed roots. For them dig a bed and prepare the wells. Planted plants are watered, after which you need to care for them as for adult specimens. After such a method of breeding bloom the curb bill the very next year.

Useful properties of the recruiter

Recruitr contains ascorbic and silicic acid, carbohydrates, rutin, tannins. It is widely used in folk medicine for the treatment of thrush, stomatitis, eczema, purulent wounds. It can stop bleeding and eliminate diarrhea.

Fresh flowers and leaves of the plant treat boils, help to heal burns and cuts. Dried roots heal wounds and eliminate pain.

To restore the strength after the illness, the liqueur tincture is used, which is prepared from two tablespoons of fresh grass. It is placed in a dark glass dish, poured a glass of vodka and insist three or four days. Take three times a day for twenty drops.

Herbal collection of spearfruit, rosemary leaves and chamomile flowers helps from cold and headaches. To prepare it, you need to take a tablespoon of each raw material and pour two cups of boiling water and drink it in a few minutes.

To stop internal bleeding, you can use the infusion of herbs. It is prepared from a glass of boiling water and a tablespoon of dried leaves. When the mixture is infused, it is filtered and taken before meals three times a day.

Tea is contraindicated, tincture and other drugs from verbeynika with dry cough in children, hypertension, thrombosis, varicose veins and sclerosis of the vascular limbs in adults.

The unpretentious grass plant has its original look, so it is often used by gardeners for landscaping the site, decorating mixborders, rockeries, alpine slides. Growing plants in the garden brings only pleasure. With minimal care, the grass grows quickly, adorns the flower gardens and has healing properties.

Other types of loosestrike and plant photos

Domestic verbeinis are grassy plants for open ground, of which there are more than 150 varieties. They are distributed on different continents, for example, in North America, Africa, Japan and the countries of Eurasia. Some species prefer tropical and subtropical forests, while others most often grow in swampy areas and coastal areas of freshwater bodies.

The most common types of recruits include the following varieties:

  • ordinary,
  • monetatum
  • dotted
  • ciliated,
  • black and purple and others.

These plants have a number of external differences, but the requirements for planting and caring for them are almost the same.

Landing the Loose-ear Loosestrife

When planting the Loose-ear Loosestrife in the open field, you will need to follow some rules, namely:

  1. Choose shady areas, since large amounts of sunlight will prevent abundant flowering of the crop.
  2. To place a flower bed on the territory that is abundantly moistened by subsoil waters.
  3. Plant the crop in pre-fertilized soil or compost.
  4. Lay the planting material in the beds or holes with a depth of 10 to 12 cm.
  5. Observe the distance between plants from 30 to 40 cm.

Note. Despite the fact that this plant is undemanding to the quality of the soil, it is better not to place a flower bed on clay plots.

Plant care: watering, loosening the soil, feeding and preparing for cold weather

To grow a Looseland Loosestrife, you will not need to make a lot of effort, however, you will have to take certain measures:

Watering the Looseland Loosestrife only during a period of severe drought.

Watering. Verbeinik normally tolerates the absence of water, and it will be necessary to moisten it only under the condition of a prolonged drought.

  • Cleaning weeds and loosening the soil. As is the case with any ornamental plants, it will be necessary to clean the flower bed from weeds and loosen the ground to ensure air access in the root system.
  • Top dressing. Verbeinik will not be required to be additionally fertilized, the need for the application of mineral or organic compounds arises only in the case when the crop grows on poor and depleted soils. You will need to do this once a year, in early spring. And to determine that the plant needs feeding, you only need to evaluate its appearance: a sure sign that the latvian lacks microelements is its slow growth and poor flowering.
  • Preparing for the cold. This culture tolerates frost normally, and before the onset of frosts, it is enough to cut off dried inflorescences and leaves, then loosen the soil and cover the planting with fallen leaves.
  • Council To prolong the flowering period and make it abundant, you will need to regularly remove dried inflorescences. In this case, the collar game will even be able to bloom again, at the end of the warm season.

Ways of breeding the Loose-ear Loosestrife

The Lulvish lullaby is one of the few species of this culture that is not distinguished by its aggressive growth.

    It multiplies in three ways:

    • Cuttings. During pruning in the spring or autumn period, processes from 10 to 15 cm long are separated and placed in a jar of water. After the roots appear, they will need to be planted in a wet ground. If this is done in the fall, then the collar should “live” in the pot before the end of the cold, and when it is seated in the spring, you can immediately place the culture in a permanent habitat.
    • The division of the bush. This should be done in the spring, before the moment when the first leaves appear, or in the autumn period, after the end of flowering. As in the first case, it is better for the camel collar to wait out winter colds in the room, planted in a pot. And when it comes time to move the material in the open ground, it is important to observe the distance between plants from 30 to 40 cm.

Mature plants of the Loose-ear Loosestrife can be propagated by dividing the bush.

Seeds. This method is the most time consuming, so it is used infrequently. In addition, flowering in this case comes only 2-3 years after disembarkation. To begin, you will need to hold the seeds in the cold for 7-8 weeks, then lay them in open ground or grow seedlings, having begun this in late February or early March. In the first case, landing in a permanent place is carried out in September, and in the second - in the first decade of June.

The first time, until the culture takes root and takes root in the flowerbed, it will be necessary to ensure that the soil at the roots is always slightly damp and to be watered in time. In addition, do not forget about making organic before planting. Live recruitment can live up to 10 years.

An interesting and attractive plant is point pin sack.

    Plant diseases and dangerous pests

In various sources do not find any mention of the fact that the rogue bill is prone to any diseases. This plant is hardy and able to survive on any soil, actively grow and multiply even in unfavorable conditions.

As a rule, insects pose a danger to this crop, most often - aphid. These parasites can be seen on the inflorescences, and in large numbers they are capable of causing great damage to the plantations. To get rid of insect attacks and to prevent the premature death of a flower bed, you need to process the lodger sack with a special preparation, for example, Biotlin or Antitlin, which is not difficult to get in stores.

Limeshire Recruitr grows well in all conditions and does not suffer from any diseases.

Growing up in some localities, the ateracy suffers from weevil invasions. You can not knead the problem immediately, because these insects are active only at night. The fact that the flowerbed was attacked will be indicated by the wilted and unhealthy species of the recruiter, since the parasites feed not only on the leaves, but also on the roots of the plants. To cope with weevils, they will need to collect and destroy, and it should be done after sunset.

Verbeinik lily of the valley in landscape design

Lulvish verbeynik looks good in group plantings.

The main thing is to choose moisture-loving neighbors for it and combine it with such cultures as:

And in order for the flowerbed to look decorative, you can arrange a number of plants whose flowers are painted in contrasting shades, for example, Veronica, host, fescue and others.

Loosestrife can be placed in different ways, choosing such places for its habitat:

    • baskets or flowerpots,
    • rock garden or rockeries,
    • border rims,
    • shore pond and others.

In the video, the florist shows a louse-of-curbstyle and talks about this plant.

Despite the fact that the lily of the valley is not as aggressive and prolific as his brothers, it will still be necessary to control the growth of the culture. Otherwise, sooner or later it will swallow up the plantations growing nearby and “spread out” throughout the site.

Features planting austenitus in the garden

These flowers are propagated by seeds, as well as vegetatively. Seed material can be sown at the beginning of summer or towards winter (mid-September). Best of all this flower feels in shady places and only some varieties can grow well in the sun. Among them - the monkey-leaver and Loosestrife purple.

Planting of this flower begins with the choice of location. The soil on which the flower will grow should be very loose, with a large amount of nutrients and preferably with close groundwater. And such varieties as the Common Loose-Breeding Squad, the Common Loosestrife and some others are better to plant in water to a depth of about 8 - 10 cm. The type of soil for these colors is not important, only heavy clay soils are not suitable for the recruit. Completely rotted manure and compost fertilizer should also be added to the soil.

The process of planting this plant in the planting holes is the same as for other flowers. The recruit is placed in the hole, its roots are straightened, then the hole is filled with soil and compacted. Planted plants should be watered. The distance between the landing pits make at least 0.5 m.

Verbeinik belongs to the family Permulae of the perennial family, may be one-year or two-year

Recommendations for the care of the recruit

Loosestrife growing is not a complicated process. Since the collarhouse grows well only on very wet soils, you do not need to water this flower. Moisture is brought under the plant only in a period of severe drought.

Since the necessary fertilizers were applied to the soil when planting a flower, during the summer it does not require additional feeding. The next time fertilizers are applied in October, it is enough to add humus for each plant.

Virtually all types of loosestrike quickly spread through the garden, if in their path not put limiters. Especially quickly grow the following types of recruits:

    • mottled,
    • ciliated,
    • whale color

Slate, metal sheets or plastic should be taken as limiters. This is the end of all the arrangements for the care of this flower. Each of the species of this plant blooms at different times of summer. On the flowering of different varieties will be discussed below.

How to plant a verbeynik (video)

At a permanent place, this flower can grow beautifully 8 - 10 years, and then it must be transplanted to another site. But by the end of the second season, this flower turns into a well-developed shrub with a lot of babies. They must be planted in flower beds. Usually transplantation takes place in early April or mid-autumn. when the colloquium will completely bloom and all foliage will fall from it.

This plant is very resistant to diseases and attacks of "harmful" insects. True, sometimes these flowers are attacked by aphids. But it can be dealt with by spraying fungicides (Biotlin, Antitlin, etc.).

This flower can be propagated by seed and vegetatively.: divide the bushes, using layering and grafting. Experienced growers know that with the help of vegetative methods, the rooker's day breeds more reliably than with seeds. Another disadvantage of growing these flowers from seeds is that the plants that grow from them bloom only in the third season. The plant should be pruned. Usually, pruned plants are subjected to pruning. Loosestrife is also cut before the onset of cold weather. In this case, the plant is cut at the root.

At a permanent place, the recruiter can grow great 8 - 10 years

All species of this plant are mainly used in group compositions. But some of them can be actively used as a lawn cover. For example, a monkeys collar is used to decorate large stones, walls, and it looks good when decorating an alpine slide.

Usually this flower is planted with the following flowers:

    • bells,
    • astilba,
    • ferns,
    • Volzhanka.

In the compositions you can use other flowers and herbaceous plants that feel well in the shade and partial shade.

All types of rookery are mainly used in group compositions.

    Lulvium lamellae (cribriform)

This flower in nature is found in the north of China, in our country it grows on the Primorsky coast and is quite a rare species. It does not grow much, its root system is powerful, it penetrates into the soil deep enough and requires a sufficiently large layer of nutritious soil.

This species grows predominantly in sunny places, may feel good in the penumbra. Stems grow horizontally, they are pubescent, weakly branched. The height of the shoots is up to 1.2 m. The foliage is large, pointed, elongated. White flowers are collected in pyramid drooping inflorescences, the length of which can reach 28 - 30 cm. This species blooms in late June and blooms no more than three weeks. Flowers with stems suitable for cutting.

    Lulvium lamellae (cribriform)

    Lisimahia ampelous

Lisimahia Ampelnaya is another name for the Monkey Electrulum. Under natural conditions, it grows like a weed. Absolutely not capricious, but does not tolerate drought. It is possible to propagate this species by cuttings, or by rooting a plant by layering (laying plants on the ground).

    Lisimahia Golden

Lisimahia golden is another name of the aussie. It is an excellent addition to the flower garden, although in natural conditions it grows like weeds. Perfectly can grow one in flower beds, looks good and in combination with other flowers. The plant is also used for cutting, as it looks good in bouquets and stands for a long time in cutting.

The Recruitr (Lysimachia Vulgaris)- height up to 1 meter. Flowers - yellow, collected in lush inflorescences.

Recruitment Point (Lysimachia Punctata) - up to 80 cm. Bushes are dense, the flowers are yellow, looks very similar to ordinary.

Lullaby purple (Lysimachia Рurpurea) - height up to 50 cm., Bloom in August. The flowers are small, yellow, leaves are decorative, burgundy.

Lullaby black and purple (Lysimachia Atropurpurea) - height from 40 to 90 cm. Flowering from July to August. Inflorescences unusual, dark red, almost black.

Lullaby keratrovidny or lily of the valley (Lysimachia Сlethroides) - up to 120 cm., Flowers unusual for the rookens, drooping, white, collected in spike-shaped inflorescences. Flowering is shorter than in other species, about 20 days, suitable for cutting.

Monstratuit (Lysimachia Nummularia) - groundcover, height up to 20-30 cm. It has the name “meadow tea”. Flowers solitary, yellow. Stems lying. Oval, like coins, leaves. Spectacular ground cover.

    Lysimachia Vulgaris - ordinary.

    Lysimachia Punctata - point.

    Purple - Lysimachia Rupurea

Loosestalker krovrovidny (lily of the valley).

    About the coin lancet details

Why did we decide to dwell on this particular type? It is this plant, thanks to such new varieties as Aurea (title photo), attract the most attention. The plant has a unique ability - to float on the slopes, that is, the plant forms a carpet not only on a flat or hilly surface, but also is capable of creating a beautiful frame on fences, retaining walls, and any vertical surfaces.

This is a perennial, stems lying, adjacent to the surface, the leaves are also very attractive, opposite ovals on short petioles. The plant blooms in June or later (it depends on the degree of illumination of the site) in flowers, in size the same as the leaves. Flowers appear one by one in the axils of the leaf leaves. Its natural habitat is areas with variable lighting, with difficult water conditions (river banks, light forests, meadows).

Given this history, the plant is extremely unpretentious and adapts to a variety of conditions: it can grow both in the shade and in partial shade, it is resistant to drought and at the same time endures prolonged flooding. It is extremely easy to recover from physical damage - for example, when trampling (and this means that the plant multiplies quickly and easily).

    Golden varieties

Varietal varieties ("Aurea", "Goldilocks") require more delicate handling, but not by much. The variety also tolerates minor trampling, can grow on complex soils. However, it is better to plant the plant in a moist, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Летом необходимо следить за тем, чтобы земля не пересыхала. Растение можно посадить в полутени, но золотой оттенок листьев будет наиболее ярким на солнце. Размножается, как и все лизимахии, очень просто.
